When life happens, eat Chicken Tikka Masala

Sigh. Another trip to Utah, lots going on, life happens to me again, Chickenscratch gets neglected. It is what it is. This is just a quick post to say 1) I'm going to try to get back on the wagon again and 2) to share a picture. Kristen (Nathan's youngest sister) is here visiting and his other sister Misha and her little boy Caleb were here (but left this morning). We've been having SO MUCH FUN with our company. Tonight Nathan picked up Indian food on his way home from work. Savannah ate a whole bowl of Chicken Tikka Masala, MEDIUM spicy, over basmati rice. Hmmmm...can you guess what I ate A LOT of while I was pregnant with her in Japan (though mine was as spicy as they would make it)?
My kid rocks.

When pregnant with you, I was living in Utah, not exactly the mecca for hot-spicy food. I'm not sure what to attribute your cast-iron stomach to. Perhaps you've burned off your taste buds.
Cute little Savvy. We need some Savvy-Time.

I got this!! said...

That is too cute. I ate alot of mexican food when I was pregnant with Trev especially salsa (which is why the kid downs salsa when we go to restraunts) I am gonna have to try some of this spicy Indian food of yours :P

Cute! Matthew can eat spicier curries than I can! And he's only 3!

Apparently my mom ate a lot of peanut butter when pregnant with me (specifically peanut butter pie), and I ate a lot of PB when pregnant both times - both my boys LOVE the stuff. They have it on toast with honey every single morning.

Oh, I also ate tons of Japanese peaches when pregnant with Matthew because they were in season when I had morning sickness and were one of the few things I actually wanted to eat in the first trimester - that boy would eat 20 peaches if I let him!

What a darling pic of Savvy! Indian food is the ultimate comfort food for me! I remember when you came to visit us and introduced us to Chicken Tikka Masala and we haven't stopped having it since! You are brilliant!!
