Life as . . . usual?

Things have been busy around here over the past couple of days! We've had an ant problem and a black widow spider problem since we moved in. Nate has killed about 7 black widows in the past week alone. We finally found someone we were happy with to come out and do some spraying yesterday. Yeah!

Yesterday I also had an anatomy ultrasound. Out of everyone who voted in the poll, 50% of you thought it was a boy and 50% thought it was a girl. Surprisingly, 0% of you thought it was a chicken. Now, for anyone who knows the story of the first time Nate kissed me, you might want to rethink your answer, as Nate was pretty certain that I was a martian chicken. Anyways, 50% of you were wrong (surprise, surprise)! Savannah is going to have . . . a little sister! We're very excited. This definitely simplifies things as there will be less to buy because we've already done the baby girl thing. Plus we've already got stuff like changing girl diapers down pat.
Yesterday we drove down to San Diego to spend the night. My dad had lasik eye surgery on Thursday and had to stay to have a check-up, so my parents decided just to make a short weekend trip out of it (and invite us) as today is their 29th wedding anniversary. Today we spent a good part of the day at Sea World. Savannah was in heaven! What made the visit especially fun was the fact that Sea World has recently partnered with Sesame Street and has Sesame Street characters all over the park, a Sesame Street 3D movie, and characters walking around and posing for pictures. Savannah is OBSESSED with Elmo, and has been for quite some time now, so it was a blast for her to "meet" Elmo, go on Sesame Street rides, and watch her favorite characters on the big screen. It was a great day.
Happy 29th Mom and Dad! (Aren't they cute?!?!?)

I need to remember to check this blog as well! Oh man, I'm so sorry about your black widow problem, eek! And I know you're like me, petrified of spiders! I wish we could get over to sea world, I think we'll have to make a trip down to Disney World while we're close here on the East side! LOVE the family picture of you guys.
